Age Suitability Policy

1. Purpose

This Age Suitability Policy documents the intended audience, content characteristics, capabilities, and recommended age-rating declarations for VecSynIQ, developed by Mrdzyn Studio.

It is intended to support:

• Apple App Store age-rating declarations.
• Google Play IARC content-rating and target-audience declarations.
• App Review and Play policy review preparation.
• Internal release and QA review.
• Consistent reassessment when VecSynIQ gains new capabilities.

Apple and Google ultimately calculate or display the applicable store ratings from the declarations submitted by the developer. This policy does not replace those store questionnaires.

2. Product Summary

VecSynIQ is a local-first creative utility that helps users prepare artwork for digital design, print, cutting, and related production workflows.

Current release scope (1.0.0): iPhone, iPad, macOS, and Android-compatible builds are designed around the same privacy-first creative workflow. The app does not require a VecSynIQ account, does not include third-party advertising, does not provide public user profiles or public artwork feeds, and does not use external cloud or generative-AI services to process imported artwork in the normal vectorization workflow.

Current capabilities include:

• Importing user-selected raster artwork such as PNG or JPEG files.
• Local raster-to-vector conversion.
• SVG preview and export.
• Transparent-background and print-preparation workflows.
• Layered Cut SVG generation.
• Cleanup, Weld, Stacked, and Sliced cutter geometry.
• Registration marks and weed-box helpers.
• Contour/offset generation.
• Per-layer SVG export.
• Cutter Bundle ZIP export.
• Machine-profile guidance for supported cutter workflows.

VecSynIQ does not itself provide a public content feed, social network, messaging system, marketplace, or media-distribution service.

3. Intended Audience

VecSynIQ is designed primarily for:

• Designers and illustrators.
• Print-on-demand sellers.
• Vinyl, HTV, decal, sticker, and craft users.
• Cricut, Brother ScanNCut, Siser, and other cutter users.
• Makers preparing artwork for print or fabrication workflows.
• Hobbyists and professionals who need vector and production-ready artwork.

VecSynIQ is not designed or marketed as a children's app and should not be listed in Apple's Kids category or represented as a Google Play app primarily directed to children.

The commercial target audience is separate from a store's content-suitability rating. A low age rating means the app itself contains little or no objectionable material; it does not mean the product is specifically intended for young children.

4. Recommended Apple Age-Rating Position

Apple's current age-rating framework uses developer responses about in-app controls, capabilities, and content descriptors to calculate a global rating and, where required, region-specific ratings.

Based on the current VecSynIQ 1.0.0 release scope, the expected Apple global rating is:

Rationale:

• No profanity or crude humor supplied by the app.
• No horror or fear themes supplied by the app.
• No alcohol, tobacco, or drug references supplied by the app.
• No sexual or suggestive content supplied by the app.
• No nudity supplied by the app.
• No cartoon, fantasy, realistic, graphic, or sadistic violence supplied by the app.
• No weapons content supplied by the app.
• No gambling or simulated gambling.
• No loot boxes.
• No contests or chance-based rewards.
• No social-media functionality.
• No messaging or chat between users.
• No broad distribution of user-generated content.
• No third-party advertising.
• No unrestricted web browser.
• No medical diagnosis or treatment guidance.
• No health or wellness recommendations.

The final rating displayed by Apple remains subject to the current App Store Connect questionnaire and any region-specific requirements.

5. Recommended App Store Connect Declarations

The following reflects the current VecSynIQ 1.0 feature set and should be checked against the exact wording shown in App Store Connect at submission time.

In-App Controls

Parental Controls: No

VecSynIQ does not provide a dedicated parent/guardian control system.

Age Assurance: No

VecSynIQ does not require age verification, age estimation, or Apple's Declared Age Range API for its current functionality.

Capabilities

Unrestricted Web Access: No

VecSynIQ does not provide a general-purpose embedded browser. Specific support, legal, subscription, or product links may open a defined external webpage or the user's normal browser; this is not unrestricted web access within VecSynIQ.

User-Generated Content: No

Apple describes this capability as broad distribution of content created by users as part of the intended app experience. VecSynIQ allows a user to import and create files for their own workflow, but it does not broadly publish, distribute, discover, rank, or expose those files to other VecSynIQ users.

Social Media: No

VecSynIQ does not provide a social feed or allow users to like, comment on, repost, amplify, follow, or discover other users' content.

Social Media Disabled for Users Under 13: No / Not Applicable

VecSynIQ has no social-media functionality for any age group.

Messaging and Chat: No

VecSynIQ users cannot communicate with other VecSynIQ users through direct messages, group chat, public posting, voice chat, or video chat.

Advertising: No

VecSynIQ does not contain third-party banner, video, native, playable, or behavioral advertising. First-party upgrade or subscription messaging is product promotion, not a third-party advertising network.

6. User-Provided Artwork

VecSynIQ processes artwork deliberately selected or created by the user.

A user's own imported file may contain material of the user's choosing, including material that Mrdzyn Studio did not create, select, distribute, or endorse. VecSynIQ does not include a public library of user artwork and does not expose one user's imported files to other users.

The presence of local file import should therefore be distinguished from broad user-generated-content distribution or social-media functionality.

Users remain responsible for:

• The content they choose to import.
• Ensuring they have the necessary rights to use and export that content.
• Deciding where exported SVG, PNG, ZIP, or other currently supported files are later shared or published.

7. Local Processing and Sharing

Core image/vector processing and cutter geometry are designed to run locally on the user's device.

VecSynIQ may allow the user to save or share an exported file using normal operating-system controls. A user-initiated export or operating-system share action is not a VecSynIQ social network, public content feed, or user-to-user messaging service.

VecSynIQ does not automatically publish a user's artwork to a public VecSynIQ service.

8. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

VecSynIQ may offer VecSynIQ Pro through Apple In-App Purchase and Google Play Billing, with RevenueCat used for entitlement management.

The existence of subscriptions or in-app purchases does not itself make VecSynIQ mature content.

VecSynIQ does not contain:

• Paid loot boxes.
• Randomized purchases.
• Gambling purchases.
• Wagering.
• Purchasable competitive advantages against other users.

Purchases remain subject to the platform account's purchase controls and parental/family settings.

9. Mature, Sexual, Violent, Medical, and Chance-Based Content

For VecSynIQ 1.0, the app itself provides None of the following:

• Profanity or crude humor.
• Horror or fear themes.
• Alcohol, tobacco, or drug use or references.
• Mature or suggestive themes.
• Sexual content or nudity.
• Graphic sexual content or nudity.
• Cartoon or fantasy violence.
• Realistic violence.
• Graphic or sadistic violence.
• Guns or other weapons content.
• Medical or treatment information.
• Health or wellness recommendations.
• Gambling.
• Simulated gambling.
• Loot boxes.
• Contests involving prizes or chance.

A user's private imported artwork is not supplied or curated by VecSynIQ and is not automatically distributed to other users.

10. Google Play Content Rating

Google Play requires an IARC content rating for published apps. The developer must complete the Play Console content-rating questionnaire accurately and update it whenever app content changes in a way that affects the questionnaire.

Based on VecSynIQ 1.0's current content and capabilities, VecSynIQ is expected to receive a low/general-audience content rating, such as 3+ / Everyone or the equivalent regional rating, depending on the rating authority and territory.

The actual ratings are assigned through IARC and may differ by region. Mrdzyn Studio will use the rating generated from the submitted questionnaire rather than manually claiming a specific regional rating where IARC assigns a different value.

11. Google Play Target Audience

VecSynIQ is a general creative/productivity utility and is not primarily directed to children.

Recommended target-audience positioning for the initial Google Play release:

• Include age groups 13–15, 16–17, and 18+ where they accurately reflect the intended audience.
• Do not select child age groups under 13 unless the product strategy intentionally changes and the app is reviewed for all applicable Google Play Families requirements.

This target-audience position is separate from the IARC content rating. A utility may receive a low content rating while still being commercially targeted toward teens and adults rather than children.

12. Children's Privacy and Suitability

VecSynIQ is not specifically directed at children under 13 and is not marketed as a children's product.

The current app does not provide:

• Child-focused social interaction.
• Public profiles.
• Friend or follower systems.
• User-to-user chat.
• Public comments.
• Public leaderboards.
• Public user-content discovery.
• Behavioral advertising directed to minors.

The applicable App Store or Google Play content rating should not be interpreted as a statement that VecSynIQ is designed for preschoolers or young children.

13. No Signup or Public User Profile

VecSynIQ 1.0 does not require a VecSynIQ social account or public profile for its core creative workflow.

Subscription or entitlement infrastructure does not create a public VecSynIQ identity visible to other users.

14. Future 3D Export

A planned future VecSynIQ update may add local 3D model generation and export, including STL and later 3MF output, plus an interactive preview of the generated model.

A local 3D export feature does not by itself introduce mature content, social functionality, or public user-generated-content distribution.

Before release, Mrdzyn Studio will nevertheless recheck the store questionnaires and this policy to ensure any new capabilities are accurately declared.

15. Features Requiring Reassessment

This policy and the applicable store questionnaires must be reviewed again before releasing functionality that could materially change age suitability, including:

• Public user-generated-content galleries or marketplaces.
• Community or social feeds.
• User-to-user messaging or chat.
• Public comments, reactions, followers, or leaderboards.
• Advertising networks.
• Unrestricted in-app web browsing.
• Cloud-hosted public artwork sharing.
• Generative AI that can introduce uncontrolled mature content.
• Curated template/content libraries containing mature subject matter.
• Gambling, contests, randomized rewards, or loot boxes.
• Health, medical, or wellness recommendations.
• Any feature specifically designed for or marketed to children under 13.

16. Release Checklist

Before each material App Store or Google Play submission:

Review the current Apple age-rating questionnaire.

Review the current Google Play IARC content-rating questionnaire.

Confirm VecSynIQ has no social-media functionality unless explicitly introduced.

Confirm VecSynIQ has no user-to-user messaging unless explicitly introduced.

Confirm no broad public UGC distribution has been introduced.

Confirm no advertising network has been introduced.

Confirm no unrestricted in-app browser has been introduced.

Confirm no undisclosed mature or sensitive content has been added to bundled app content.

Confirm no chance-based or gambling functionality has been introduced.

Confirm the Google Play target-audience selections still match the product strategy.

Verify Apple-calculated global/regional ratings and Google/IARC ratings before release.

Update this policy if the product's content or capabilities materially change.

17. Recommended App Review / Play Review Position

VecSynIQ is a creative image-to-vector and production-artwork utility. Users import their own artwork for local processing and export. VecSynIQ does not operate a social network, public user-content feed, messaging system, advertising network, gambling feature, unrestricted web browser, or curated source of objectionable content. User-selected artwork is processed for the user's own workflow and is not automatically published or distributed to other VecSynIQ users.

Based on the current feature set, 4+ is the expected Apple global age-rating position, while Google Play is expected to assign a low/general-audience IARC content rating, subject to the final questionnaires and regional rating authorities.
